SAN DIEGO, CA – April 17, 2024 – iGolf is excited to partner with Pinned Golf, the Boston-based golf technology company building an expanding ecosystem of GPS-enabled hardware and mobile products designed to make premium golf technology more accessible. Through the partnership, iGolf’s global course mapping and GPS technology will support Pinned Golf across its mobile application and integrated hardware products, including The Caddie GPS tablet and Sound Stick PRO GPS speaker.

Through the partnership, Pinned Golf will integrate iGolf’s comprehensive GPS course database across its product ecosystem, providing accurate course intelligence for both its hardware and software experiences. With iGolf’s database covering more than 40,000 mapped golf courses across 177 countries, Pinned can leverage detailed hole layouts, green mapping, hazard positioning, and geospatial information to provide consistent and reliable course intelligence across its growing family of connected golf products.

Pinned Golf has differentiated itself by combining innovative product design with a commitment to making golf technology available at more approachable price points. Founded by three recent college graduates who saw an opportunity to challenge the high cost of premium golf technology, the company has grown to serve more than 200,000 golfers. Its expanding product portfolio includes The Caddie, a portable GPS golf tablet featuring an 8-inch touchscreen, 360-degree hole views, GPS yardages, scoring, game modes, and Pinned Pulse performance insights, as well as the Sound Stick PRO, which combines GPS functionality with a golf speaker. Pinned’s broader ecosystem also includes rangefinder technology and its companion mobile application.

That combination of hardware and software makes Pinned particularly important as golf technology becomes increasingly connected. Rather than limiting GPS functionality to a single device, Pinned is creating multiple ways for golfers to interact with course information based on how they prefer to play. A common iGolf data foundation helps provide consistency across those experiences, whether a golfer is viewing a detailed hole map on The Caddie, accessing GPS information through a speaker, or using the Pinned mobile app.

“Pinned Golf has built an impressive brand by challenging the idea that great golf technology has to come with a premium price tag,” said Ryan Kimberling, Vice President of Sales & Strategy at iGolf. “What makes this partnership especially exciting for us is the breadth of what they’re building. Our course intelligence isn’t supporting just one product—it’s becoming part of an ecosystem that gives golfers multiple ways to access accurate information on the course. We’re excited to provide a consistent data foundation as Pinned continues to innovate across both hardware and software.”
