SAN DIEGO, CA – April 14, 2023 – iGolf is excited to partner with Noonan LLC, the Lenexa, Kansas-based sports technology company behind Noonan, an AI-powered golf caddie and GPS platform that transforms simulator and launch monitor data into personalized on-course strategy. Through the partnership, iGolf’s global course mapping and geospatial technology will provide the detailed course intelligence behind Noonan’s ScatterShot AI engine, helping golfers make smarter decisions based on how they actually hit the ball.
Through the partnership, Noonan will integrate iGolf’s comprehensive GPS course database into its platform, providing detailed hole layouts, green geometry, hazard positioning, and geospatial information across more than 40,000 golf courses in 177 countries. This precise course geometry provides the spatial foundation Noonan needs to evaluate a golfer’s individual shot dispersion against the challenges presented by each hole and deliver more accurate, course-aware recommendations.
Noonan differentiates itself by connecting the performance data golfers generate on simulators and launch monitors with the decisions they make on the golf course. Players can import shot data from platforms including TrackMan, Garmin, Full Swing, GSPro, e6 Golf, Rapsodo, MLM2PRO, Toptracer, or CSV files, allowing Noonan to develop an individualized dispersion model for each club. Its ScatterShot AI engine can then overlay those actual shot patterns onto the course, evaluate probabilities such as reaching a green, carrying a hazard, or finding a fairway, and identify strategic targets based on the golfer’s own tendencies while accounting for factors including wind, elevation, and course conditions.
“Noonan is a great example of how the growing amount of performance data golfers generate can become genuinely useful on the golf course,” said Ryan Kimberling, Vice President of Sales & Strategy at iGolf. “Instead of asking golfers to make decisions based on how they hope to hit a shot, Noonan uses their actual dispersion patterns to help them understand the smartest way to play a hole. That requires highly accurate course geometry, and we’re excited for iGolf’s mapping intelligence to provide the foundation that ScatterShot AI uses to turn individual player data into meaningful on-course strategy.”
