SAN DIEGO, CA – September 30, 2025 – iGolf is excited to partner with League Play, LLC, the company behind Golf League US, a golf competition platform designed to allow golfers to create and participate in leagues regardless of when or where their rounds are played. Through the partnership, Golf League US integrates iGolf’s industry-leading golf course mapping and GPS data into its mobile experience, providing accurate course intelligence alongside the scoring, handicapping, statistics, and competitive features that power the platform.
Golf League US is built around a flexible approach to league golf. Rather than requiring every participant to play the same course at the same time, the platform allows golfers to compete remotely, recording qualifying rounds from different golf courses and at different times while still participating within the same league. Golfers can create their own leagues or join existing competitions, giving groups and individual players a way to maintain ongoing competition without the scheduling and geographic limitations traditionally associated with organized league play.
The platform combines that competition with tools golfers can use throughout their rounds, including GPS rangefinding, shot tracking, handicaps, statistics, and round history. Players can record their performance while they play and build a history of their golf over time, while league functionality allows those individual rounds to contribute to broader competitions and standings. National leaderboards extend the concept beyond private groups, giving golfers another way to measure their performance against a wider community.
Through its partnership with iGolf, Golf League US gains access to a global course-data foundation spanning more than 40,000 mapped golf courses across 177 countries. iGolf’s detailed course mapping and geospatial intelligence support Golf League US’s GPS experience while also providing consistent course information across the different facilities where league participants compete. That breadth of coverage is particularly valuable for a platform designed around multi-course competition, where golfers participating in the same league may be playing rounds at entirely different locations.
The partnership represents a natural alignment between iGolf’s global course intelligence and Golf League US’s approach to making organized golf competition more accessible. Traditional leagues can depend on golfers being available at a particular facility on a particular day. By allowing competition to extend across courses and schedules, Golf League US creates opportunities for friends, groups, and golfers in different locations to remain part of the same ongoing competition while still playing golf when and where it works for them.
“Golf League US has taken an interesting approach to one of the biggest challenges with organized golf — getting everyone together at the same place and time. Their platform allows the competition to continue even when the golfers are playing different courses on different schedules, and iGolf’s broad course coverage is a great fit for that model. We’re excited to partner with League Play and provide the course intelligence that helps connect those individual rounds into a larger competitive experience,” said Ryan Kimberling, Vice President of Sales & Strategy at iGolf.
