SAN DIEGO, CA – July 20, 2026 – iGolf is excited to partner with Mah Technologies Inc., the company behind OpenGolf, a golf GPS and smart caddie application designed to give golfers accurate course information, personalized club guidance, scoring, and performance tracking in a streamlined mobile experience. Through the partnership, OpenGolf integrates iGolf’s industry-leading golf course mapping and GPS data into its platform, providing the course intelligence needed to power detailed hole maps, GPS distances, targeting, and other location-based features across the OpenGolf experience.

OpenGolf is designed to provide golfers with more than a traditional distance-to-the-green GPS. Interactive satellite hole maps allow players to view the course and use movable GPS targeting to measure distances to locations throughout the hole, while front, center, and back green yardages provide immediate reference points for approach shots. Golfers can also adjust pin positions to better reflect the day’s hole location, creating a more detailed picture of the shot in front of them.

The platform builds on that course information with plays-like distances and smart club recommendations. By accounting for factors that influence how a shot plays rather than relying solely on straight-line distance, OpenGolf is designed to help golfers translate GPS information into a practical club-selection decision. As golfers track their shots and club distances, the platform can build a better understanding of their individual game, connecting course conditions and target information with the clubs available in the player’s bag.

Through its partnership with iGolf, OpenGolf gains access to a global course-data foundation spanning more than 40,000 mapped golf courses across 177 countries. iGolf’s detailed course layouts and geospatial intelligence provide the spatial framework behind OpenGolf’s GPS experience, allowing golfers to navigate holes, identify targets, measure distances, and track shots within the context of the actual golf course. That global infrastructure also gives Mah Technologies a scalable foundation as it expands OpenGolf following its 2026 launch.

OpenGolf carries the experience beyond individual shot decisions with digital scoring and post-round statistics. Golfers can maintain their scorecards while playing, track shots and club performance, and review information from completed rounds to better understand their games. An Apple Watch companion extends key functionality to the golfer’s wrist, providing another way to access information during play without relying exclusively on the phone.

The partnership represents a natural alignment between iGolf’s course intelligence and OpenGolf’s approach to creating a more complete digital caddie experience. Accurate mapping provides the foundation, but the value to the golfer comes from turning that information into useful decisions — understanding the hole, determining an effective target, selecting the appropriate club, recording the result, and using that performance history to make better decisions in future rounds.

“OpenGolf is building the type of connected experience golfers increasingly expect from their GPS technology. It starts with accurate course information, but then uses that foundation to help the golfer understand the shot, select a club, track the result, and learn more about their game over time. We’re excited to partner with Mah Technologies and provide the global course intelligence behind OpenGolf as their team continues developing the platform,” said Ryan Kimberling, Vice President of Sales & Strategy at iGolf.
